DISCIPLINE IN ELEMENTARY EDUCATION

Welcome to Parrish Broussard's Web Page on Discipline in Elementary Education.   This site has been developed to help educators research various discipline philosophies.  Discipline is defined according to Webster's dictionary as the "systematic training or subjection to authority."  Discipline is a very important issue within the educational system.  It ranks within the top ten current issues and concerns teachers have within the learning process.  The purpose of  the site discipline in education is to bring to the arena the growing concern which teachers and students have within the field of education, especially elementary education.
I would like to bring to light the issue of discipline within the public and private school systems and to stress the concerns which current educators and future teachers may have.  It will discuss discipline and teacher concerns on how to solve discipline problems through various methods and techniques.  The Web Page will guide anyone who is concerned with solving disciplinary problems, to teach them alternative steps to correcting misbehavior.  I hope this Web Page will be of value to anyone who deals with discipline, especially educators.
